About Me

David Sheen, Esq.

Welcome to Immigration Update!

The purpose of this blog site is to update the public about recent changes in U.S. immigration law and policy.  I will also offer my comments on various topics relating to immigration and share some interesting information with you .

Here is a little background about myself–

My name is David Sheen.  I am a practicing U.S. business and immigration attorney in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area.

Many of my family members are immigrants. My parents immigrated here decades ago so that we could have better lives and obtain higher education. I have firsthand experience of what many of my clients are going through while trying to make new lives here. It was an easy choice for me to go into immigration law… so I may assist others to achieve their American dreams and becoming citizens of this great country.

I am a frequent guest speaker for local schools, businesses, and community organizations on various subjects about immigration, estate planning and business law.  I have been quoted by the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS in its bi-weekly immigration columns.  I have also written articles for THE FREMONT BUSINESS REVIEW.

I am an active member of the California State Bar and American Immigration Lawyers Association.    I represented clients ranging from multi-national companies to mid-sized and small companies as well as individuals undergoing the U.S. immigration process.

I am fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

I enjoy traveling and meeting people from different parts of world and learning about their cultures and traditions.

If you would like to learn more about my background or practice, please feel free to email me at david@jdgloballaw.com or visit my firm’s website at www.jdgloballaw.com. Tel: (510) 438-6868
